Daniele Marx (Brazilian, b. 1975) Lives and works in Amsterdam.

Her artistic practices are based on experiences of daily life, where the conditions offered in different social contexts work as a motto for the existence of each project. The fact of work through different circumstances generates an intangible labor that is not intended to be a product for consumption, but a symbolic experience in exchange. This practice is presented in a variety of media.

Research

Investigates the possibilities of artistic operations involving the intangible or alive work based on the
relationship between art/life; having as its core of inspection a set of propositions I have been made
between 2004 and 2009. These proposals consist of a variety of activities undertaken during the
period from my residence outside of Brazil, including: residences, exhibitions and activities in
collective. The objective of this research is to examine also the various ways to position and operate
as an artist from different contexts; mainly focused on the possibility to relate the art practice to a
plurality of external activities combined with the subjectivity that permeates the everyday life beyond
the production of ‘objects'. Key-words: Art, contemporary art, intangible labor; alive work, immaterial, everyday life; tactics.
